Dozzy Couture showcases at the Runway FADAN 2015

Fashion has become just as popular as any other art in the world and Africa is quickly becoming the new inspiration of global fashion. Africa for one has tapped hugely into this creative field with the growth and emergence of greatly talented fashion designers.

June 13th 2015 saw the fashion conscious men and women gather at the Federal Palace Hotels and Casino, Lagos for the Runway FADAN 2015. This event which is an initiative of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN) played host to emerging and established fashion designers from various states of the nation. These designers showcased their creative designs on the runway to the watchful and approving eyes of fashionistas and fashionistos.

The event which held the interest of many present was brought alive not only with the beautiful designs strutted on the runway, but also with performances from artistes and the National Troupe. Among the established designers who showcased was Mr. Dozzy Nnamdi Obinwanne, CEO of Dozzy Couture with seven of his carefully created designs.

FADAN also seized the occasion of this mid-year fashion exhibition to unveil her new patrons. FADAN recognizes that the African garment industry needs repositioning in order to financially benefit from the international fashion industry while developing the local industry. This is one of the reasons for the birth of this event.
